Biography

Steven works in Cyber Security as a Senior Manager in Business Information Security at Cognizant. The role involves protecting the organisation with account security risk profiling, contract review, deal risk review, incident coordination, risk and control assessment, security awareness training, and related tasks. He has also earned the Certified in Cyber Security certification from ISC2. Steven transitioned to Cyber Security in March 2024 after five years in a Senior Learning Executive role in Learning and Development at Cognizant.

Steven's earlier ICT career covered education, research or industry since 2001. His education work included higher education and vocational sectors including roles of lecturer, head tutor, tutor, lab demonstrator and trainer. His research and publications covered broad fields such as search engines, information retrieval, data mining, machine learning, natural language processing and education. He also had two industry roles in web development and holds other industry certifications in C#, Java, Python, cloud, scrum and web development.
