Cognizant Australia is a Top Graduate Employer
By Steven Burrows, Senior Learning Executive, Cognizant Academy — Thu, Mar 24, 2022
Introduction
The Top Graduate Employer rankings by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE) are a beacon to the best places to work for new graduates entering the workforce. The rankings are determined entirely from survey feedback gathered from graduates who have spent up to 12 months working with Australian organisations. AAGE annual rankings are now in their tenth year, and Cognizant Australia finished in the AAGE Top 75 ranking this year (2022) having participated for just the first time.
Methodology
The AAGE rankings were derived from a survey conducted with approximately 3,000 graduates in November and December 2021. To be eligible, the graduates needed to have commenced with their employer during the 2021 calendar year, which allowed up to the full year for them to gain experience in their organisation before taking part in the survey.
The survey was conducted in an anonymous manner, and took into consideration ratings of their employer for a large number of categories including orientation/induction, training/development, quality of work, career progression, supervisor/manager, compensation/benefits, work/life balance, and company culture. The results are combined to form an overall rating for each organisation, and the organisations with the top 75 ratings are published.
Conclusion
The picture below shows the 25 graduates who successfully completed Cognizant’s graduate training program in 2021 (otherwise known as “Generation Cognizant” or “GenC”) and their two trainers Steven Burrows and Peter McDonald. All these graduates received invitations to participate in the AAGE Top Graduate Employer rankings from which the recognition was given.
The achievements of our graduates in 2021 are described in more depth in the 2021 intake 1 and 2021 intake 2 blog articles. We are also looking forward to a much-expanded GenC program in 2022 with significant increases to both the number of intakes and the number of graduates.
